While I’ve been in full Gojira mode this week, I figured now’s the perfect time to dig into the franchises of East Asia. The Big G has set the standard for cinematic franchises, with a legacy only a few can match. So naturally, we’ll be starting this list with our favorite kaiju!

This list includes franchises that have four or more entries, spanning feature films, TV specials and series. Some are giants like Gojira with 34 entries, while others are much smaller, like Rurouni Kenshin with 5.
